Bangladesh Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Dhaka has announced direct recruitment for 18 vacancies across three posts.
Vacancies and Qualifications
1. Office Assistant-cum-Computer Typist — 8 posts
- Grade: 16
- Pay scale printed in the notice: BDT 21,900–52,900
- Qualification: HSC or equivalent with at least second division/equivalent GPA.
- Skills: Computer proficiency and typing speed of at least 20 words per minute in both Bangla and English.
2. Research Assistant — 1 post
- Grade: 16
- Pay scale printed in the notice: BDT 21,900–52,900
- Qualification: HSC or equivalent in the Science group with at least second division/equivalent GPA.
- Experience: Relevant experience is preferred.
3. Office Assistant — 9 posts
- Grade: 20
- Pay scale printed in the notice: BDT 20,000–48,400
- Qualification: SSC or equivalent.
Total vacancies: 8 + 1 + 9 = 18. This total was recalculated from the three post counts in the original PDF.
Age Limit and General Conditions
- Applicants must be 18–32 years old as of 1 October 2026.
- Age affidavits are not accepted as proof of age.
- Applicants must be Bangladeshi citizens and comply with the official instructions.
- Successful applicants may be posted at CID Headquarters or in any district of Bangladesh.
- Employees of government, semi-government or autonomous institutions must obtain permission from the appropriate authority and follow the applicable departmental instructions.

- Application deadline: 8 November 2026 at 4:00 PM Bangladesh time.
- Fee payment: Candidates who receive a User ID must pay by SMS within 72 hours of submitting the application.

Application Fee
- Posts 1 and 2: BDT 100 application fee + BDT 12 Teletalk service charge = BDT 112.
- Post 3: BDT 50 application fee + BDT 6 service charge = BDT 56.
- Eligible applicants in the disadvantaged categories specified in the notice—including ethnic minority applicants, persons with disabilities and third-gender applicants—pay BDT 56 for any post.
Pay using the prescribed two-SMS process from a Teletalk prepaid mobile number. Follow the official portal instructions.
How to Apply
- Open the official CID Teletalk application portal.
- Select the post and complete the online application form.
- Upload a recent colour photograph and signature in the dimensions and file sizes specified in the notice.
- Review the application carefully, then save the Applicant’s Copy and User ID.
- Send the required SMS to 16222 and complete fee payment within 72 hours.
- Keep the Applicant’s Copy and original certificates for later verification. The oral examination may require educational certificates and applicable identity, citizenship, quota and character documents.
